North Building on track for the end of Michaelmas 2022
The building of the Science & Innovation Centre and the restructure and restoration of our science buildings have faced a number of hurdles since work began in early 2020.
Despite these setbacks, we are pleased to report that we anticipate that the North Building Phase will be completed before the end of Michaelmas 2022. Once the North building is complete we will immediately start the refurbishment of the South Building. We hope you agree that the photographs of the work that has been completed to date are impressive.
We are also delighted that a new gift from parents will enable us to provide a dedicated classroom space for the teaching of STEM to pupils from our partner state schools. STEM-based education teaches children far more than science, technology, engineering, and mathematical concepts. With a focus on hands-on learning and real-world applications, it develops life-long skills such as curiosity, critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, communication, and collaboration. This outreach lab will enable us to reach far more children in a subject area that many of our local schools find difficult to deliver due to a lack of resources.
