The Innovation Centre hosts Dyson engineering workshop
The Innovation Centre was the venue for an engineering workshop for Sixth Form pupils, the first of its kind in this newly created space.
James Pugh from the Dyson Institute of Engineering and Technology spoke to our Lower Sixth pupils about the company, the role of engineering in problem-solving, and to offer a robotics workshop so that pupils could begin to engage with the same issues real engineers at Dyson face on a daily base.
The workshop concluded with a presentation on the degree apprenticeship program at Dyson and gave Marlburians a chance to ask questions about this different approach to life after Marlborough.
We are very grateful to our donors who helped support The Beko Innovation Centre, which was completed on 31st March 2021. The building was officially opened by Beko on 14th September 2021 at a special event for our donors and supporters.
