The Impact of Bursaries
Former bursary pupil, Molly McHugh-Iddon (LI 2018-20) shared the impact of studying at Marlborough College with the Royal National Children’s SpringBoard Foundation (RNCSF).
Molly joined Marlborough as a Sixth Form pupil in 2018 through the RNCSF a national charity providing bursary opportunities across the UK. During the process, the RNCSF select two of three boarding schools that the pupil will be well suited to but Molly says that “she fell in love with Marlborough straight away”.
As well as A Levels in Maths and Biology, Molly also found a new subject, Psychology, which she now studies at the University of Liverpool. Although Molly has left Marlborough, she continues to talk about her experiences of being a bursary pupil and mentors pupils in boarding schools.

“My first impressions when I arrived at Marlborough were that it was like Hogwarts…I couldn’t believe that this was where people actually went to school”
