Donation for Norwood Hall

Earlier this year Old Marlburian, Piers Buck (1987-91 CO), made a generous donation to improve the food offering in Norwood Hall. Piers has a huge passion for food which resulted in the founding of his successful Little Freddie food company. You can read more about Piers and this company in the latest Marlburian Club magazine.

Thanks to his support, pupils and staff can now enjoy a wider variety of lunch options at Norwood Hall. The donation has enabled the Catering Team to redesign the vegetarian menu and offer light options for lunch which are prepared in our new, bespoke chilled preparation room. As well as the traditional hot main dishes, pupils can now opt for a conveniently plated salad of the day or choose from sandwiches, baguettes, or wraps at the deli-bar.

The new dishes have received overwhelmingly positive feedback from pupils and staff. Tilly Norman (MM U6), who sits on the Food Forum which provides a pupil perspective on the food served in Norwood Hall, said:

A lot of hard work by the catering team has gone into the re-design of Marlborough’s catering offer and this has been hugely congratulated by the pupil body. The general quality of Marlborough’s catering has soared, and the multiple new options suited to each person who dines daily, can only be defined as a huge success.
