John Manser CBE
John ManserOn leaving Marlborough College, John Manser (PR 1953-58) trained as a Chartered Accountant, joining Robert Fleming, the investment bank, in 1967 and was appointed to the Board in 1972. John has held many senior positions, including Managing Director of Jardine Fleming in Hong Kong 1975-79; Chief Executive, Save & Prosper Group 1983-88; Chief Executive, Robert Fleming Holdings 1990-97 and Chairman 1997-2000; as well as Chairman of the London Investment Banking Association 1994-98; and Director of the Securities Investment Board 1986-93.

John is currently Senior Independent Director of SAB Miller and Chairman of Shaftesbury PLC. In addition to being Chairman of Marlborough College Foundation, he chairs the Marlburian Club Charitable Fund and is Deputy Chairman of the College Council. Married for over 40 years to Tessa, he has two daughters, six grandchildren and lives in Wiltshire.

Sir Anthony Greener
Anthony GreenerTony Greener (PR 1954-58) joined the Board of Guinness as a Non-Executive Director in 1986 and became Managing Director of United Distillers in 1987.  He became Chairman and CEO of Guinness in 1992.  He over saw the merger of Guinness and Grand Metropolitan in 1997 and became Chairman of the combined company Diageo.  He retired from Diageo in 2000 and became Deputy Chairman of BT until 2006. 

He is currently on a number of overseas Boards and is closely involved in education and particularly the Academy Programme.

Mr Richard Fleck CBE
Richard FleckRichard Fleck (B3 1962 -1967) qualified as solicitor with Herbert Smith in 1973.  His practice areas include litigation, competition and corporate law.  He was a partner from 1980 until he retired to become a consultant in 2009.  In addition he is a director of the Financial Reporting Council, a non-executive director of the National Audit Office and Chairman of the Auditing Practices Board.

He has been a member of Council of Marlborough College since 1997 and was the first Chairman of the Marlborough College Foundation.  He is a Trustee of the Marlburian Club Charitable Funds and is actively involved in setting up Marlborough College Malaysia.  He has been married to Mary since 1983 and has a daughter and son, both of whom went to Marlborough College.  He lives in Wiltshire.

Mr Robert Jeens
Robert JeensRobert Jeens (SU 1967-71) is an OM who pursued a City career initially as an Audit Partner in Touche Ross & Co and subsequently as Finance Director of Kleinwort Benson Group plc and Woolwich plc. Since 1999 he has worked purely as a non-executive director and is currently a member of the board of Henderson Group plc , The Royal London Mutual Insurance Society Limited and a number of other public and private businesses. 

He has been married to Gillian since 1978 and they live in South West London. They have three adult sons, all also OMs. Leisure interests include classical music, walking and skiing and keeping up with their growing family whether in their sons’ shooting activities or with their new granddaughter in Singapore.
